| Hospital Room Leo Polaski was an author and educator. This room is home to the artifacts of the Kings Park State Hospital, once known as the Kings County Farm and Asylum, est. 1885. The hospital was a self sustaining medical campus focused on occupational therapy treatment.. Items include early 1900 wheelchair, straight jacket, photos and diplomas of graduating nursing classes of the hospital schools, original nurses uniforms, books, daily ledgers plays and more.
